Designed
The Typhoon-VDV air-droppable armored vehicle is designed to carry personnel and military cargo, as well as to serve as a base for mounting various systems and weapons. The main design feature of the Typhoon-VDV is a monocoque armored hull offering increased rigidity and strength, enabling the vehicle to be air-dropped without consequences.
Protected
The armored hull provides protection against small arms fire, shell fragments and explosive devices. The vehicle is fitted with energy-absorbing crew and trooper seats.
Equipped
The vehicle can be equipped with various combat modules, including a remote-controlled weapon station with a 30-mm automatic cannon and a coaxial 7.62 mm machine gun. A modern fire control system provides target acquisition and engagement in any weather, day or night.
