The Pantsir-S1 multi-channel, short-range, self-propelled anti-aircraft gun/missile (SPAAGM) system has high firepower and is capable of effectively countering a wide class of air threats. It features combined missile/gun armament, a short reaction time and a capability to acquire and engage air targets on the move.
Designed
The Pantsir-S1 is designed to provide air defense of small military (including mobile), administrative and industrial facilities and areas against enemy aircraft, helicopters, cruise missiles and precision guided weapons, as well as to reinforce Air Defense groupings when repelling massive air attacks.
Offers
In addition to the Pantsir-S1, Rosoboronexport offers foreign customers the latest Pantsir-S1M SPAAGM system. Compared with the previous version, the upgraded system has a longer engagement range (30 km vs 20 km) and a higher engagement altitude (18 km vs15 km). As a result, the volume of the zone protected by the system has been increased threefold. The new Pantsir has improved fire performance per unit of time, increased target tracking accuracy and can fire two types of missiles.
