The T-90MS tank’s high combat properties have been achieved through powerful armament, an advanced automated fire control system, the latest achievements in armor protection, and reliable engine and transmission. Its armament system is capable of destroying targets at the halt and on the move, day and night, in poor visibility conditions with all types of ammunition, including the use of a remote detonation system for HEF rounds, from the commander and gunner's stations.

The T-90MS tank has an all-round multi-level protection against conventional ammunition, guided artillery projectiles, ATGMs and anti-tank grenades. While retaining a low silhouette, optimal weight, high mobility indicators and the ability to cross the most difficult obstacles at high speed, which are traditional for Russian tanks, the T-90MS offers a high level of protection and survivability.
